Background

Jakob Kienast completed his law degree at the University of Vienna from 2020 to 2025, specializing in European Law and Private Economic Law. During his studies, he gained several years of professional experience at Austrian law firms and most recently worked in the field of competition law at a law firm in Vienna.

Since October 2025, Jakob Kienast has been working as an Associate lawyer at SAXINGER in Wels.

In 2024, he studied at Maastricht University in the Netherlands as part of the Erasmus+ program and participated in several national and international moot courts.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international law studies at the University of Vienna, with a focus on european competition law.
