After finishing school in Luhansk/Ukraine Natalia Thoma studied English and Russian Literature. At the age of 18 she moved to Germany and started studying Law at the Ruhr University of Bochum. During her studies her main focus lied on the Civil Law and Labour Law. After having passed her First State Legal Examination before the State Examination Office of North-Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf in April 2003 she worked for several years as graduate assistant at the Chair for Labour Law of Prof. Dr. Rolf Wank at the University of Bochum. In October 2007 she completed her legal clerkship at the Bochum Regional Court and successfully passed her Second State Legal Examination. In the year 2008 Natalia Thoma was admitted to the bar.
From August 2008 until August 2011 Natalia Thoma has been working at the nationwide law firm SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte (former Schwarz Kelwing Wicke Westpfahl) in Düsseldorf. In September 2011 she has founded her own law firm in Düsseldorf. In September 2015 she joined Schindhelm in Schmidt Rogge Thoma Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB.
Due to her intercultural competence Natalia Thoma counsels and represents Ukrainian and Russian speaking business clients in all legal matters of Commercial Law. She is also experienced in dealing with questions of family and inheritance law. Natalia Thoma has successfully attended the Course for specialist lawyers for employment law including the add-on module „Corporate Law“ and conducted employment lawsuits as a litigator
